A chandelier that stays close to the ceiling

The Ondaine Brass Crystal Cluster Flush Mount Chandelier hangs six crowned brass shades beneath a pierced brass ceiling ring edged with a full curtain of crystal.

Every shade and the outer ring drip with clear K-9 crystal prisms, so the whole cluster sparkles right where the ceiling meets the room.

Made for lower ceilings

Crystal where a chandelier would hang too low

A hanging chandelier needs height to clear heads and sight lines. The Ondaine mounts directly to the ceiling and takes up only 15.7", so bedrooms, hallways and entries with standard ceilings can still have a full crystal fixture.

  • 8 ft ceiling: about 80" of clearance below
  • 9 ft ceiling: about 92" of clearance below
  • Room size: suits rooms of about 10 x 10 ft to 12 x 12 ft

How it is built

Four layers, one cluster

Pull the Ondaine apart and it is four layers of brass and crystal, stacked so the light passes through each one on its way into the room.

    An open-worked 20.5" ring that glows when lit.

    Clear K-9 prisms circle the ring edge on every side.

    Brass crowns hold each bulb at staggered heights.

Installing it

Four steps to first light

Pick the center

Center it on the room, the bed or the hallway, wherever the eye lands first.

Call an electrician

Have it hardwired to a ceiling box rated for its weight.

Check the crystal

Make sure the prisms fall straight around the ring before switching on.

Fit six bulbs

Clear E12/E14 bulbs in 3000K warm white show the crystal best; bulbs are sold separately.

Before you order

Will it work with an 8 ft ceiling?

Yes. It measures 15.7" from ceiling to lowest crystal, leaving about 80" of clearance below on an 8 ft ceiling.

What size room is it right for?

At 20.5" across, it suits rooms of about 10 x 10 ft to 12 x 12 ft, as well as hallways and entries.

What bulbs does it use?

Six E12/E14 candelabra bulbs, not included and purchased separately. Clear 3000K warm white bulbs show the crystal best.

Is the crystal real glass?

Yes. The prisms are clear K-9 crystal, an optical glass that does not yellow over time like acrylic.

Do I need an electrician?

Yes. It is a hardwired flush mount and should be installed by a licensed electrician to a properly rated ceiling box.

How do I clean the crystal?

With the power off and bulbs cool, wipe each prism with a soft lint-free cloth, then dry fully before switching back on.
