Six brass candles around a glowing glass dome

The Barnaby Domed Glass Brass Chandelier centers a white glass dome with a ruffled upper rim inside a ring of six cast brass candle arms, with a seventh light inside the dome itself. The glass is opaque, so the center light reads as one soft glowing shade while the six candles stay as separate points of light around it.

Scrolled brass foliage runs through the arms, the collar under the dome and the base finial, and the whole body hangs from three shaped brass straps that meet at the canopy. The bronze finish is glaze sealed and reads warm amber once the lights are on. It is made for hardwired ceiling installation; bulbs are not included, and 3000K warm white suits it best.

Every part, from canopy to finial

The Barnaby is built in layers: a leaf-cast canopy, three shaped straps, a white glass dome with its own light, and a ring of six candle arms trimmed with scrolled brass.

Two layers of light

By day it is cast brass and white glass. Switched on, six candle points and one glowing dome work together, which is where the candlelit depth comes from. Try it:

  • Six candle points

Candle bulbs at two heights scatter small points of light around the room.

  • One glowing dome

The white glass softens the center bulb into an even glow in the middle of the fixture.

  • Finished by day

With the lights off, the bronze brass and white glass still read as a decorative piece.

Sizing and hanging height

At 26.8" wide and 33.5" tall, the Barnaby is a mid-size chandelier. Use these guides to check it against your room and ceiling before you order.

Over a dining table

Rooms about 12 x 14 ft
Add the room's length and width in feet; a total near 26 to 28 matches this 26.8" diameter.
Tables 40 to 54 in wide
A chandelier looks balanced at one half to two thirds of the table's width.
30 to 36 in above the table
On an 8 ft ceiling, the listed 33.5" height leaves about 32 in over a standard 30 in table.
7 ft of clearance in walkways
In an entry or hall, plan for a ceiling of at least 10 ft so people pass comfortably underneath.

Choosing bulbs

Bulbs are not included, so here is what to look for before you buy.

7 bulbs

Six for the candle arms and one for the socket inside the glass dome.

E12 / E14

Candelabra base; email us with your order number to confirm the socket before buying bulbs.

3000K

Warm white keeps the brass looking amber and the glass dome soft and creamy.

Flame tip

Candle-shaped bulbs suit the arms best; a clear filament style adds a gentle sparkle.

Cast brass, up close

Every brass part is cast, then finished in bronze and sealed with a protective glaze, so the detail stays crisp and the color stays even from canopy to finial.

Questions before you buy

Are bulbs included?

No. You will need seven candelabra bulbs; 3000K warm white LEDs suit it best.

Which bulb base does it take?

E12 or E14 candelabra. Email support@samulighting.com with your order number to confirm before buying bulbs.

Is the glass dome clear?

No. It is white glass, so the center bulb glows softly instead of showing through.

What size room is it for?

It suits rooms around 12 x 14 ft, or dining tables about 40 to 54 in wide.

How high should it hang over a table?

Leave about 30 to 36 in between the table top and the bottom of the chandelier.

Do I need an electrician?

Yes. It is hardwired, so we recommend a licensed electrician for installation.

Will it work on US household power?

Yes. It is made for 110–120V circuits.

Can I order a different finish or size?

Yes. Email support@samulighting.com with the finish or size you have in mind.

Cleaning and care

A light dusting every month and a gentle wipe a few times a year keep the brass even in tone and the glass bright.

Before you start

  • Turn off the power at the switch or breaker.
  • Let the bulbs cool for at least 10 minutes.
  • Use a steady ladder and keep one hand free to support the fixture.

Brass arms and canopy

  • Dust with a soft dry cloth or a feather duster.
  • For marks, use a cloth barely dampened with water, then wipe dry.
  • The finish is glaze sealed, so skip brass polish; it can strip the protective coat.

White glass dome

  • Support the dome with one hand while you wipe it.
  • Use warm water with a drop of mild dish soap.
  • Dry everything fully before switching the lights back on.

Craftsmanship

Brass keeps a record of everything done to it —
every cut, every pass of the wheel.

Brass That Isn't Just a Colour

Most fixtures sold as brass are iron wearing a brass coat — the colour is sprayed on, and it sits on the surface.

We work brass as metal. It gets cut, formed and joined as itself, and the finish comes from the surface underneath rather than from what's on top of it.

That decision changes everything downstream.

In the Workshop

The Long Way

Nothing here is finished in a single pass.

Each fixture goes through cutting, forming, joining and polishing as four separate stages, with the piece checked between each. Slower than finishing it all at the end, and the reason the surface holds up.
