A closer look

Made to be seen up close

Every fixture we make is built to hold attention at arm's length as well as from across the room. Below are the details worth noticing on this one.

Design notes

Three details worth a closer look

What separates this one from a standard brass chandelier.

01
Colour Right Through the Glass

Colour Right Through the Glass

The tone is in the material, not sprayed onto a clear shell, so it stays true at every angle, won't scratch off an edge, and still reads rich in daylight with the light off.

02
A Rounded Silhouette From Every Side

A Rounded Silhouette From Every Side

The discs wrap the frame completely rather than facing one direction, so the fixture presents the same full shape from across a room, from a doorway, or from directly underneath.

03
Six Combinations, One Shape

Six Combinations, One Shape

Red, white or gold glass against a nickel or gold frame — the same fixture reads warm and retro, cool and modern, or quiet and neutral depending on which pairing you choose.

The Glass

Thicker glass, deeper color —
and it shows the moment it's lit.

Why Handblown, and Not Pressed

Pressed glass is stamped in a mold: uniform, thin, and flat once the light is behind it. Handblown glass carries a slight variation in thickness, and that variation is what gives the glow depth instead of a single even wash.

Color goes into the melt rather than onto the surface, so it runs the full thickness of the wall — it can't chip, fade, or wear off at the rim.

It costs more and takes longer. It also looks like nothing else in the room.

Star Tube

A ceiling of amber columns

Ribbed tubes hung in tiers, each one catching the filament down its full length. Amber glass turns the whole fixture into a warm mass against a white ceiling — it holds a large room without needing a large fixture footprint.
