Lauragne Pink Faceted Glass Cascade Chandelier

Rose-pink facets, gathered into one cascade

The Lauragne Pink Faceted Glass Cascade Chandelier gathers 134 hand-formed pieces of faceted pink glass into a deep, tapering cascade around an iron frame in a gold or nickel finish.

Each piece is shaped with flat planes that catch the light, so the lit fixture glows a soft rose with bright highlights along every edge.

Questions

Before you choose Lauragne

What size room does it suit?

At 31.9" across, it suits rooms of roughly 13 x 19 ft, or a dining table about 48–64" wide.

How high should it hang?

Keep the bottom 30–36" above a table, or at least 7 ft above the floor where people walk beneath.

Can it go on a sloped ceiling?

Yes. It can be installed on a sloped ceiling, and the 39.4" chain lets the cascade hang straight down.

Which bulbs does it take?

Fifteen E12 / E14 candelabra bulbs, not included. LED bulbs in 3000K warm white bring out the rose tone.

Gold or nickel?

Gold warms the pink glass for a glamorous look; nickel gives a cooler, modern contrast. The glass is the same on both.

How do I clean the glass?

Power off and let the bulbs cool, then dust with a soft cloth. For marks, mist glass cleaner onto the cloth, not the fixture.

The Lauragne story

A cascade of glass, blushing in the light

One hundred thirty-four hand-formed pieces of faceted pink glass, hung tier inside tier until they narrow to a single point. Lit, the whole cascade glows a soft rose.

Off and on

Pale by day, rose by night

Lauragne begins with a single shape: a slim piece of pink glass, shaped with flat planes. One hundred thirty-four of them hang around an iron frame, tier inside tier, until the cascade narrows to one point.

Switched off, the glass reads pale rose and the frame shows softly through. Switched on, fifteen candelabra bulbs light it from within, and every edge throws back a bright highlight.

It is the kind of piece Hollywood Regency was made for: glamorous, a little romantic, and at its best seen from directly below.

Fifteen lights, one hundred thirty-four facets, one rose glow.

“Every flat plane keeps a highlight of its own.”

From across the room the cascade reads as one soft rose glow. Step closer and it breaks into a hundred small reflections.

Up close

Every facet, off and lit

Unlit, each piece shows its rippled texture and flat planes. Lit, the same glass fills with warm light and every edge turns bright.

  • Hand-formed, so each piece varies slightly
  • Flat planes catch the light from every angle
  • Each piece hangs from its own hook on the frame

Choose your finish

One cascade, two metals

Gold finish canopy, chain and iron frame above the pink faceted glass

Gold + Pink Glass

Warm and glamorous

The classic Hollywood Regency pairing: gold warms the rose and suits brass hardware, warm wood and blush or champagne palettes.

Nickel finish canopy, chain and iron frame above the pink faceted glass

Nickel + Pink Glass

Cool and crisp

Nickel lets the pink glass carry the color on its own, and sits easily in white or gray rooms with chrome or stainless details.

Finding your fit

At 31.9 inches across and 29.5 inches tall, Lauragne suits dining rooms, entries and living rooms of roughly 13 by 19 feet. Hang it 30 to 36 inches above a table, or keep at least 7 feet clear below in a walkway. Entries need ceilings near 10 feet; over a table, 9 feet works.

Made to order

Pick a shape and a color, and we will build it into the chandelier you need.

Start with one of our four glass shapes, choose from the colors we make it in, then send us your choice. We blow the shades to order and fit them to your fixture.

Your selection

Each shade is blown, shaped and colored by hand, then matched against our color standard before it leaves the workshop. Shades on screen are a guide; the glass itself will vary slightly.

Hand-blown art glass

Every shade on this chandelier began as glass at 2,000°F.

Before it ever held light, the glass on your chandelier was melted, blown and shaped by hand in a working glass studio. Here is how it is made, and why it glows the way it does.

Hand-blown art glass pieces and glass rods laid out on a studio table
2,000°F

Furnace heat needed before the glass is soft enough to shape.

One at a time

Each piece is gathered, blown and finished by a maker’s hands.

Color in the glass

Color is fused in while molten, never painted onto the surface.

The process

From furnace to fixture, in four stages.

Glowing molten glass inside the mouth of a glass furnace Glassblower turning a gather of molten glass beside the furnace Gloved hands shaping colored art glass while it is still hot Finished glass pieces cooling on racks inside an annealing oven

Why hand-blown, and not pressed.

Depth, not a flat wash

Pressed glass is stamped in a mold: uniform, thin and flat once the light is behind it. Hand-blown glass varies slightly in thickness, and that variation gives the glow its depth.

Color through the whole wall

Color goes into the melt rather than onto the surface, so it runs the full thickness of the glass. It cannot chip, fade or wear off at the rim.

Worth the extra time

It costs more and takes longer to make. It also looks like nothing else in the room.

Signs of the hand, not flaws.

  • Tiny bubblesSmall seeds of air are trapped as the glass is gathered and turned.
  • Slight shifts in shadeColor can deepen where the glass is thicker and soften where it thins.
  • Gentle ripplesFaint waves in the surface show where the glass was shaped by hand.

Because each piece is made by hand, the glass on your chandelier will differ slightly from the photos. No two are exactly alike.
