Aurelien Crystal Crown Brass Island Chandelier

A brass bow, a carved bar and crowns of crystal, in two lengths

Aurelien three-light brass island chandelier with crystal crowns, lit

The Aurelien Crystal Crown Brass Island Chandelier hangs from a single chain and opens into an arched brass bow and a long bar carved with curling acanthus leaves. Beneath the bar, each light sits inside a brass crown ringed with sculpted faces.

Three tiers of cut crystal fall from every crown, catching the light and scattering it across the table below. Choose two crowns for a 36.2 in fixture or three for 47.2 in, sized for long dining tables and kitchen islands.

The ornament

Every part is decorated

Nothing on this fixture is plain. Follow it from the ceiling down and the detail keeps going, from the leaf finial to the faces on each crown.

Where the sparkle comes from

Every crystal drop is cut with flat facets. When light from the bulb passes through them, it bends and splits, so each crown scatters small points of light, some with a rainbow edge, across the walls, ceiling and table.

  • Cut facetsFlat faces bend the light instead of letting it pass straight through.
  • Three tiersDrops at three heights send light out at many angles.
  • Clear bulbsA clear E14 bulb gives sharper sparkle than a frosted one.

Fitting it to your table

Match the length to the table

Designers size a linear chandelier at about half to two-thirds of the table or island below it, and hang it so the crystals clear the surface by 30 to 36 in.

Size Dining table Kitchen island
2 lights, 36.2 in 60 to 72 in Up to 6 ft
3 lights, 47.2 in 72 to 96 in 7 to 9 ft

It comes with a 25 cm / 9.8 in chain. For a taller ceiling, contact us before ordering and we will supply a longer chain.

Brass up close

Detail you can see from across the room

The brass is cast in deep relief, so the leaves and scrolls throw their own shadows and read clearly even from the far end of the table.

Made for the long table

A linear shape follows the line of a table or island, so the light lands where people sit instead of pooling in the middle.

Care

Cleaning the crystal

  1. Switch off

Turn off the power and let the bulbs cool completely.

  2. Wear gloves

Cotton gloves keep fingerprints off the crystal as you work.

  3. Wipe each drop

Use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water and a splash of isopropyl alcohol.

  4. Dry and polish

Finish with a dry, lint-free cloth so no spots dry on the crystal.

Wipe the brass with a dry cloth only, and never spray cleaner onto the fixture or the canopy.

Questions

Before you order

Which size fits my table?

Choose 2 lights for a 60 to 72 in table and 3 lights for a 72 to 96 in table or a 7 to 9 ft island.

How high should it hang?

Keep the lowest crystals 30 to 36 in above the tabletop or counter.

How long is the chain?

It comes with a 25 cm / 9.8 in chain; contact us before ordering if you need it longer.

Are bulbs included?

No. It takes one E14 bulb per crown, and the light color depends on the bulbs you choose.

Do I need an electrician?

Yes, it is hardwired to a ceiling junction box, so we recommend a licensed electrician.

Craftsmanship

Brass keeps a record of everything done to it —
every cut, every pass of the wheel.

Brass That Isn't Just a Colour

Most fixtures sold as brass are iron wearing a brass coat — the colour is sprayed on, and it sits on the surface.

We work brass as metal. It gets cut, formed and joined as itself, and the finish comes from the surface underneath rather than from what's on top of it.

That decision changes everything downstream.

In the Workshop

The Long Way

Nothing here is finished in a single pass.

Each fixture goes through cutting, forming, joining and polishing as four separate stages, with the piece checked between each. Slower than finishing it all at the end, and the reason the surface holds up.
