First, installing the lampshade was a challenge. Its made of sturdy paper and I was worried it would break when I tried to push it onto the cord, but it held up! The switch is on the floor, a design that isnt very convenient to push with your feet, but theres really nowhere to plug it in. I was looking for the switch under the lamp every time I turned it on, which was my fault. This lamp gives off a warm light and is perfect for my living room. Its a perfect height for the sofa, and would make a great reading lamp if I were to read a book. Overall, its a nice product with a simple but beautiful design.
